Asking for help is never easy, especially if you’ve been self sufficient before. In these hard economic times, families who never dreamed they’d need a financial hand up are finding it difficult to make ends meet. That’s where Sue Coraluzzi is making a difference. Through the non-profit Angel Food Ministries, Sue and other volunteers offer families grocery relief and provide opportunities for individuals to share their financial blessings with those in need.
Based out of Christ Fellowship, Angel Food Ministries is a grocery co-op which, by buying in bulk, offers families buying power that almost doubles their grocery dollar.
As lead volunteer Sue is the first to arrive and the last to leave and is making a difference for many North Dallas families with much more than just their grocery expenses.
“Sue’s like a burst of sunshine,” shared Sharon Sherman of Christ Fellowship. “When families call up needing help, many have never had to ask before. They're confused and have no idea how to begin looking for the assistance they need.”
“Sue is approachable and non-judgmental. She has a heart for helping people. She knows the questions to ask and the agencies and ministries to direct them to and she does it in a way that truly shows her heart for Christ and His people. She puts people at ease, takes them under her wing and just loves them when they need it most. Sue truly exemplifies the servant’s heart and the love of the Lord Jesus Christ.”
