Dr. Sara Folden grew up in Fort Worth where she made her mark at Nolan Catholic High before moving on to an under graduate degree in Biology from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio. She was awarded her medical degree from University of Texas Science Center in Houston and broke up her residency with a year in surgery at the University of Massachusetts, a
year of family medicine at University of Oklahoma and an additional year of family medicine at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, even squeezing in a year long break where she experienced Hawaii with her grandmother.
Dr. Folden feels especially blessed to be practicing family medicine where she’s able to care for patients of all ages and no two days are the same. She is an active member of the Rotary Club and Medical Director of the non-profit Snowball Express which provides hope and new memories for families of our fallen military heroes who’ve died on active duty since 9/11. In her spare time Dr. Folden enjoys reading, crocheting, baking and spending time with her family.
Kelly Krug, MPAS, PA-C was born in Lewisville, Texas and has lived in metroplex her whole life. She currently calls McKinney home. She earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of North Texas in December of 2004 and then her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Texas Southwestern in December of 2009.
Prior to entering PA school, Kelly worked in dentistry for seven years, which inspired her career in patient care. Kelly worked as a physician assistant in cardiology for a year and feels this knowledge is of great benefit when identifying at risk patients in the primary care setting. She is passionate about preventative medicine and enjoys taking time to explain testing, procedures and the underlying pathology of the disease process in order to increase patient success.
Kelly has been a devoted volunteer at health fairs and clinics providing medical care to help those without insurance or primary care. She also is a member of Texas Academy of Physician Assistants, and American Academy of Physician Assistants. She is hoping to give back to the PA community by offering time as a teacher/lecturer for upcoming PA’s at her prior institution, UTSW.
Kelly enjoys spending time with her new husband Benner, dog Pele, and step-son Cade. She is very active and some favorite activities include – cooking, photography of landscapes, running and cycling.
